Pu’u Kukui Elementary School’s Leadership Luncheon

Gill was honored to be guest at Pu’u Kukui Elementary School’s Leadership Luncheon yesterday, with 700 students K – 5th Grade, Principal Chad Okamoto, teachers & parents of this month’s  “Pueos”  (Hawaiian owls) from each class.

The “Pueos” are elected every month, for leadership values. This month’s value?

LISTENING:  “We listen with our ears, our eyes & our hearts.” Gill told students that they will truly learn and benefit, if they apply the absolute FOCUS of  our wise Pueo.  We (and our adult leaders!) can be good leaders if we LISTEN.

“Pu’u Kukui” means “Hill of Light”, because the kukui nut produced LIGHT for Hawaiians in days gone by.
